Halloween is just around the corner and if you’re anything like me, you might have left your costume planning to the last minute.
But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!
In this guide, I’ll show you how to create NINE quick and easy last-minute Halloween costumes that will make a statement without breaking the bank.
These are designed with women in mind, but can definitely be tweaked for any gender!
DIY costumes are not only budget-friendly, but they also allow for creativity and personalization.
Not to mention, you probably already have most of these pieces, so you can quickly create these Halloween outfits from your own closet!
So let’s get crafting and make this Halloween one to remember!
Glam Sheet Ghost Costume
Put a glamorous twist on the classic sheet ghost costume by using a colorful sheet like pink or purple instead of the traditional white.
Even better if you can just grab sequin fabric and use that instead.
With this, you don’t need to focus on makeup, but accessorize to the nines!
You can add a crown or tiara, a cute bow, sunglasses, gloves with bracelets over, and heels to complete the glamorous ghostly look.
This unique take on the traditional costume is perfect for those who want to stand out and make a statement on Halloween.
Easy Witch Costume
One of the classic Halloween costume ideas is a simple but still bewitching witch.
And the best part?
You probably already have most of the items needed for this look in your own closet.
To create a chic witch costume, start with a little black dress or all black clothing.
Use anything from your closet staples to help bring this easy costume to life.
Then, add a black pointed hat, some striped tights, and black boots.
Bonus points if you accessorize with a broomstick, a cauldron bag, and dark makeup for added flair.
Social Butterfly Costume
For a punny and eye-catching costume, try the Social Butterfly look!
You’ll need butterfly wings, antennas and most importantly, social media icons printed out.
Cover the outfit with the icons and you’re ready to go!
You can use different social media icons or even add additional elements like hashtags or emojis.
You can also add some butterfly clips in your hair and carry around a phone with social media icons on it for added effect.
Cat Costume with a Twist
Another easy DIY costume idea is the classic cat costume but with a twist.
Instead of going for the traditional all-black cat look, add a few more elements and switch it up to become an Egyptian sphinx!
Accessorize with bold gold jewelry accents and a striking blue cat-eye. Cleopatra who?!
You can also add some extra flair to your costume by creating a cat ear headband with gold accents.

This simple yet chic look is sure to turn heads at any Halloween party.
Kiss of Death Costume
For a more dark glam and dramatic last-minute costume, try this Kiss of Death idea.
It’s up to you whether you want to be in an all-black outfit, but I’d suggest a red or burgundy look for a sexier touch.
Then, add some hauntingly gorgeous makeup like a smokey eye, and gradient black lipstick.
Finish off with stamping on black or burgundy kiss S.W.A.K.S around your face and neck for that deadly touch.
Time permitting, you can even make cut-out S.W.A.K.S. and pass them out throughout the night.
This costume is perfect for those looking to make a bold statement and stand out from the crowd.
French Kiss Costume
For a more flirty and playful version, try the French Kiss costume.
Start with a classic black and white striped shirt and black pants.
Add some red lipstick, and perhaps a little neck scarf, along with a beret!
Make a similar makeup look by painting on a few kiss marks on your face.
You can also paint on a small black mustache above your lip for added charm.
This cute and easy costume is perfect for those looking to have fun and spread love on Halloween.
Bad News Costume
One of my favorite last-minute Halloween costume ideas!
Take a simple dress, or any dress you have, and turn it into a clever and punny costume by adding newspaper pieces with bad news dramatically written all over it.
Many times you can use double-sided fabric tape to hold up the newspaper.
Or, if you’ve thrifted an outfit and don’t mind getting a little crafty, you can always use a hot glue gun too.
Belt it into place and top it off with long black leather gloves and black boots, along with a fully snatched face for that ultra ‘baddie’ look.
Oh Deer Costume
Channel your inner woodland creature with this cute and easy DIY costume.
Start with an all-brown outfit. You probably already have these from your own closet!
Next, get a deer antler headband, and some face paint to create a doe-eyed look.
You can also add some white spots to your outfit for that extra touch of realism.
This sweet and simple costume is perfect for those who want to bring their ‘party animal’ to life this Halloween.
The Purge Costume
For those who want a spookier option, dressing as The Purge is always a good idea.
This even makes for a great group costume that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on.
Start with a white button-down shirt and black shorts, then add fake blood stains all over and distress the clothes if you want as well.
Complete the look with a creepy mask or paint on your own with a cream makeup palette.
Grab something like a bat or anything that can pass as a weapon (plastic for safety) to complete the costume.
This terrifyingly easy costume is sure to turn heads and make you stand out at any Halloween party.
Prepare for your Halloween night…
You can easily achieve these simple, last-minute Halloween costumes with items you probably already have at your home, or that you can quickly run to the store and get.
My sincere recommendation though is to get your hands on this cream makeup palette from Makeup Forever that I’ve linked right below.
This palette is used heavily in productions for special effects makeup, making it perfect for creating any Halloween look you desire. It has all the essential colors – white, black, green and red.
Plus, it’s easy to apply with just a damp sponge or brush, and dries quickly so you can get on with your spooky night!
However, I do recommend setting it with some translucent powder or eyeshadow (if you’re in a pinch) to lock your creation into place.
Don’t let last-minute planning ruin your Halloween fun. Try out these easy and creative costume ideas that are sure to impress your friends. Happy haunting!
